The Winter Diamond of Drôme Sud Provence.
It is France’s top producing region of black truffle, the flavour of which may be acquired over time and a variety of dishes. Very sought for by gastronomic restaurants throughout the world, or simply by amateur chefs, the secrets of the Truffle follow the trends of cuisine and winter markets

Truffle season

From mid-December to mid-March, the Black Diamond is on the menu of our local restaurants, unveiling its fine aromas to food lovers. At that time of year, people and dogs roam the oak woods of the region, looking for the queen of the season. After hours of truffle hunting, they go home loaded with the tasty treasure they will proudly present at the local market open to everyone. It takes place every Sunday in Saint Paul Trois Châteaux. A commission strictly regulates the quality of the produce on offer. The warm atmosphere cheers people up, as do the truffle-flavoured local ‘ravioles’ offered for tasting. Your taste buds will quiver with pleasure!

Maison de la Truffe et du Tricastin
